RM Whole-body Re-Assessment + RM Diagnosis
Why do a RM Whole-body Re-Assessment?
- We trust that a treatment that achieves improvements in more dysfunctions in the body is better than a treatment that achieves improvements in fewer dysfunctions in the body
- The only way for us to know how many dysfunctions we are improving within sessions is to re-assess them all
- Seeing improvements in dysfunctions throughout the body provides us with the confidence that we are providing comprehensive, rapid and long-lasting results
Why an RM Diagnosis?
- Because and RM Diagnosis answers the question... 'What is the best intervention possible*... that will most effectively achieve pain-free full function for the individual client?'
- An RM Diagnosis tells us what fixes each condition most effectively... very different to a non-RM, pathoanatomical or pain-labelled diagnosis that requires assumptions and predictions that the chosen treatments are best for each individual client
How is an RM Whole-body Re-Assessment and an RM Diagnosis performed?
- The whole-body re-assessment is re-testing all the dysfunctions throughout the body...
- We then list all the significantly improved tests... these constitute the one 'condition' that is being fixed...
- And the single intervention that is causing all these tests to improve... is labelled as the provisional Primary Contributing Factor (PCF)
- This same PCF is the only treatment required for continued improvement of all the dysfunctions for this condition...
- While also listing all the tests that don't improve and these constitute a different condition
What makes this way of thinking so beneficial?
- We learn the single best* intervention for the individual condition... and we learn that all the dysfunctions that are secondary...
- And this saves us from wasting time treating secondary dysfunctions.... as these all improve as a result the PCF [intervention]...
- PCF give us more confidence in the best intervention trialled is the best possible* treatment for that condition...
- The whole-body re-assessment provides the immediate clinical evidence for the effectiveness of the PCF... from the previous treatment trials process...
- When we know all of the dysfunctions that are connected to a condition... We can see how to effectively monitor the progress of the condition... during further treatments + self-monitoring between sessions + self-monitoring for the long-term... this is powerful as it allows for better prevention of recurrence based on tests, and not waiting for symptoms to recur...
- Plus, for the conditions that do not respond to this process it is a very effective indicator that an 'Alternative Plan'** is the most helpful approach... we know our professional boundaries... and this makes the options clear for the client and for the practitioner...
- i.e. We do not continue treatment without results
- These types of benefits are not possible with a mainstream pathoanatomical diagnosis approach...
* 'Best intervention possible' with the skill set of the practitioner(s)... for each client that completes the RM Diagnosis process... otherwise, an 'Alternative Plan' is indicated
** 'Alternative Plan' = referral on to another practitioner, &/or referral for investigations, &/or the slower rehabilitation-physiotherapy approach

What are the outcomes for clients and practitioners? |
Video Summary:
- "I was a reasonable physio, I think, but I wasn't fixing everybody...
- I was blown away... I felt overwhelmed... Unjustifiably so... When I got to work... I realised how easy it is to do...
- I made some ridiculous changes that I would not have made before...
- A different way to look at the problem... Quite often that is the problem... The way you are looking at...
- It's radically change the way I think about business... I treat less people and I am more money... And I enjoy treating now...
- My life is a lot better... I'm not fatigued at the end of the week... Which was a massive problem... I've got the energy to give 100% to every person...
- I look at the problem from all sides... Which I didn't used to before...
- As a physio, you change your life if you change the way you practice... And you also change other peoples lives...
- This has revolutionised the way I practice"
